Everything is under /f. Three ranks - member, officer, leader - and each command
says which it needs. Rank inside the faction is the gate, not a server permission node.
Ranks at a glance
| Rank | Can |
|---|---|
| Member | Build and interact in your own land, /f home, chat, deposit money, see everything. |
| Officer | All of that, plus claim, unclaim, invite, kick, set the home, declare relations, withdraw money, and answer join requests. |
| Leader | All of that, plus promote, demote, rename, set the tag, go peaceful, and disband. |
requests.officersMayAccept moves answering join requests up to leader-only.
Defaults to officers, since an officer can already /f invite whoever they
like - letting them recruit a stranger but not one who asked first is a rule nobody could explain.
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f create <name> | Anyone | Found one. You become its leader. Names cannot carry colour codes - they are printed on other people's screens. |
| /f invite <player> | Officer | Invitations are not persisted - one accepted three weeks later by an officer who no longer remembers offering is worse than one that lapses. |
| /f join <name> | Anyone | Take an invitation. |
| /f request <name> · /f requests | Anyone / officer+ | Ask to be let in when you don't know anybody yet. Shown only to whoever can answer it. |
| /f accept <player> · /f decline <player> | Officer+ | Answer a request. Membership is checked again at the moment of acceptance. |
| /f leave | Anyone | A leader cannot walk away from a faction that still has people in it - hand it on, or disband. A leader alone just leaves. |
| /f disband | Leader | Ends it for everybody. The land, the home, the bank and pending offers go with it. |
| /f kick <player> | Officer | Remove someone from the faction. |
| /f promote <player> · /f demote <player> | Leader | Make a member an officer, or an officer a member again. |
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f claim · /f unclaim | Officer | The chunk you are stood in. Capped at chunksPerMember × members. Claims must touch land you already hold, and the chunk your own standard stands in cannot be unclaimed. |
| /f autoclaim | Officer | Take every chunk you walk into, until it runs out - then switches off rather than repeating the refusal every sixteen blocks. |
| /f unclaimall | Leader | Release the lot - except the chunk your own standard stands in. |
| /f sethome | Officer | Must be on land you hold - one outside it is one an enemy can camp. |
| /f home | Anyone | Uses Standards' teleport, so the warmup, countdown, safe landing and cancel-on-damage all apply. |
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f panel | Anyone | Everything about your faction in one place: power, land against entitlement, bank, standards, raid record, relations and members. Text on a vanilla client; on a modded one, a pane beside the inventory with promote, demote and kick for a leader or officer. |
| /f map | Anyone | The classic chat grid, nine chunks square, coloured by your relation to each owner. |
| /f map item [zoom] | Anyone | A real vanilla filled map, painted server-side. Locked, so it does not slowly repaint with terrain as you carry it. zoom runs 1-8 pixels per chunk. |
| /f map item terrain [zoom] | Anyone | The same claims washed over the real landscape, 256 blocks across. Reads only chunks already loaded, so ground nobody is near falls back to flat colour. |
| /f map refresh | Anyone | Sends your JourneyMap the current territory again. The map runs it for you when it starts drawing, and it is silent on purpose, because that happens on every world load. |
| /f map layer on|off | Anyone | Faction territory on JourneyMap, if it is installed - claims in banner colours, bordered by relation, with your own and allied standards pinned. The toolbar button sends this same command, and with permission to claim a second button turns on claim mode. |
| /f borders · /f borders radius <chunks> | Anyone | Show the outline of nearby claims in particles - or just hold a compass. radius sets how far it reaches, for you alone, up to the server's cap. With Factions installed client-side, the particles become solid walls and a tinted floor, on the ' key. |
| /f status | Anyone | Where you stand with everybody, split by direction - alliances offered to/by you, who declared on whom, your bank, pending join requests, and (with power enabled) an exposure line: how much of your land a declared enemy could take. |
| /f who <name> · /f list | Anyone | One faction looked up - its tag, relation to you, land and members - or every faction on the server. |
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f tag <ABC> · /f tag - | Leader | Up to five characters, unique across the server, shown in chat. - removes it. |
| /f rename <name> | Leader | Keeps the faction's id, so claims, homes and relations do not move. |
| /f ally <faction> · /f enemy <faction> · /f neutral <faction> | Officer | Allies must agree; enemies need not. An alliance holds only when both sides declare it; a war takes effect immediately and alone. |
| /f peaceful | Leader | Cannot declare, cannot be declared upon - in both directions. |
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f chat [public|faction|ally] | Anyone | With no argument, cycles public → faction → ally → public. Resets to public on login. |
| /f c <message> · /f ca <message> | Anyone | One line to your faction, or to your faction and its allies, without switching channel. |
| /f chatspy | Server operator | Watch every faction channel. Overheard messages are marked as such. |
Both channels go through Standards\' chat router, so a muted player cannot use them.
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f bypass [on|off|toggle] |
Server operator, or factions.bypass |
Edit inside somebody else's claim - a state you turn on, not a permission you carry. Drops the moment you log out, on purpose: come back tomorrow and the protection is on again, so editing claimed land costs a thought every time. Every use is written to the server log. |
Grantable through factions.bypass so a moderator can undo a grief without being made a full operator - Factions' first and only permission node. Everything else under /f is gated on faction rank, which is game state rather than a permission. Full reference on the Permissions page.
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f money | Anyone | The bank, and what the next chunk costs. |
| /f money deposit <amount> | Any member | Paying in is never gated. |
| /f money withdraw <amount> | Officer | money.officersMayWithdraw moves this to leader-only. |
| /f money pay <faction> <amount> [reason] | Officer | Faction to faction, with a reason - what makes tribute and ransom possible. |
Only relevant when power.mode is not fixed - see
Power.
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f power [player] | Anyone | Yours, or theirs - what your faction holds against its entitlement, and how fast power is coming back. |
| /f standard | Officer | Look at a banner on your own land under open sky to make it your faction's standard. With nothing in front of you, it answers "where is my flag" - and lists the trophies you fly, with where each stands. |
How a raid is won, why it cannot be declined, and its settings, are on the Power page.
| Command | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|
| /f raid <faction> | Officer | Declare an attack, announced to the whole server. Needs defenders online; peaceful factions neither raid nor are raided. |
| /f raids · /f raid | Anyone | What is running right now. |
| /f raids top | Anyone | Factions ranked by raids won, with taken (won attacking) and held (won defending) shown apart. |
